About//
Fuji Hideout is the UK-based bedroom project of 19 year old, Marcus Bishop. The project combines dark, 80s inspired production with modern alternative pop.
Growing up in a musical family meant Marcus had access to a range of different genres and decades of music.
Throughout his childhood, there was always music from all eras playing in the house at some point in the day or evening.
He eventually had his imagination courted by 80s synthesisers and production and soon started producing his own music when he was just 13 years old. Once he had gotten to grips with iPad compositions, he received a MacBook for his 16th birthday and started using professional software in no time.

Marcus has created a modern indie dream-pop sound with silky roots that stem from real passionate brainwaves of an eighties child raised in millennial years to get that magical natural touch. It’s created richness in his song writing to embark an eighties edge blended with indie pop seamlessly. You will find in every song produced by Marcus Bishop the bittersweet sense of nostalgia. Every production and mixing choice is carefully thought out to create the biggest emotive message and compliment to the themes of each line of every lyric.

Now 19 years old and beginning adulthood, Marcus spends his time perfecting his craft at writing and production, all the while reminiscing on his teenage and younger years.
That sense of nostalgia is laced throughout the project, all the while projecting an emotional message,
‘Let go of the past, embrace the now.’
